Amy & Kim were married at Orwell View Barns over the August bank holiday in 2017 and to put it bluntly, the wedding weekend was incredible….
For the purpose of full disclosure I am biased as this wedding was 2 of my closest friends who I have been lucky enough to travel the world with, I not only had the pleasure of providing services for this wedding but I was also a bridesmaid and got to enjoy the full weekend as a guest, cue lots of fizz!
Amy has an incredible eye for beautiful aesthetics and she decorated the venue with lanterns and pieces from her home ware shop Nomad the Store, she also found the time to dye over 50m of silk using avocado skins to get just the right shade of pink she wanted, resulting in an ethereal bohemian setting.
Amy & Kim had a humanist service in the rustic barn at Orwell View Barns, the barn features an industrial concrete floor which was the perfect backdrop for our Victoria Ghost Chairs and the billowing silk aisle runners.
After the ceremony we moved out onto the lawn and had far too much prosecco served from our rustic trestle tables in vintage glassware. The groomsmen then moved the chairs down to the Papakata sperry tent whilst we all posed for photos before meandering down to the tent.
As you can see from the photos the tent looked stunning and the weather was beautiful so we were able to open up the sides and take in the stunning view of the river and rolling fields.
Before the wedding breakfast was served there were informal speeches on the lawn and photos taken by Emilie White in a wildflower meadow next to the venue, the meadow being in bloom was a complete surprise to us all and the pictures are pinterest wedding goals!
As the night wore on gin and tonics were the order of business and we succeeded in getting the DJ into the party swing so he played on until 4am instead of midnight. In the early hours we held impromptu dance offs in between countless photo booth trips and lazing around the fire pits.
